India 358 all out against Cricket Australia XI

Patna : India were all out for 358 in 92 overs in their first innings in their four-day match against Cricket Australia XI in the third session of the play on November 29, 2018, with opener Prithvi Shaw, 19, scoring a brilliant 66 in 69 balls with 11 fours and captain Virat Kohli 64 in 87 balls with 7 fours and a six. Cricket Australia XI won the toss but opted to bowl.

Cheteswar Pujara scored 54 in 89 balls with 6 fours while Ajinkya Rahane retired out for 56 in 123 balls with just one four. Hanuma Vihari scored 53 in 88 balls with 5 fours while Rohit Sharma scored 40 in 55 balls with 5 fours and a six. Opener Lokesh Rahul was out for 3 while wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant remained unbeaten on 11. Ravichandran Ashwin, Mohammad Shami, and Umesh Yadav (run out)  were out without scoring.

For Cricket Australia XI, 19 year old fast bowler Aaron Hardie took 4/50 in 13 overs.  Hardie took the wickets of Kohli, Sharma, Ashwin, and Shami.

Cricket Australia XI were 24/0 in 4 overs at stumps on day 2 with D Arcy Short batting on 10 and Max Bryant on 14. The play was washed out on day 1 due to rain.
