Patna : Chasing a target of 287 runs to win the second cricket test against South Africa at SuperSport Park, Centurion, South Africa, India were 35/3 in 23 overs at stumps on day four on January 16, 2018, struggling to save the test with one full day remaining and 7 wickets in hand. Cheteshar Pujara was unbeaten on 11 in 40 balls and wicketkeeper Parthiv Patel was batting on 5 in 24 balls.
For South Africa, fast bowler Lungisani Ngidi took the wickets of Captain Virat Kohli ( 5) and opener Lokesh Rahul (4). Opener Murli Vijay was bowled by fast bowler Kagiso Rabada for 9. The wicket of Kohli fell when the score was 26.
