Patna : Electing to bat after winning the toss, India were 259/1 after 47 overs in the one off cricket Test against Afghanistan at M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru, on June 14, 2018, with opener Shikhar Dhawan scoring century in 87 ball before lunch becoming the first Indian to achieve the feat. It is Dhawan’s 6th test century. His opening partner Murali Vijay was batting on 96 with 14 fours and a six while Lokesh Rahul was unbeaten on 42 in 52 ball hitting 6 fours.
Dhawan fell to Yamin Ahmadzai after scoring 107 in 96 ball hitting 19 fours and 3 sixes. Dhawan and Vjay were involved in a 168 run stand for the first wicket.
