India 205/5 after 36 overs in 3rd ODI against Australia at Ranchi, Kohli scored 41st ton

Patna : Chasing a target of 314, India were 205/5 after 36 overs in the 3rd ODI against Australia at JSCA International Stadium Complex, Ranchi, Jharkhand, on March 8, 2019, night, with captain Virat Kohli batting on 111 with 14 fours and a six, his 41st ODI ton, and Vijay Shankar batting on 13 with 2 fours.

Kohli had also scored century in the 2nd ODI. Kohli and Kedar Jadhav added 88 runs for the 5th wicket. Jadhav fell to spinner Adam Zampa for 26 in 39 balls with 3 fours. Kohli had also added 59 runs with wicketkeeper and former captain M S Dhoni for the 4th wicket. India still need 106 runs to win the 3rd ODI.

Dhoni fell to spinner Adam Zampa for 26 in 42 balls with 2 fours and a six.  Openers Shikhar Dhawan and Rohit Sharma   scored 1 and 14 runs respectively. Dhawan fell to fast bowler Jhye Richardson for 1 making it 11/1. Rohit fell to fast bowler Pat Cummins for 14 in 14 balls with 2 fours and a six making it 15/2. Ambati Rayudu was bowled by Pat Cummins for 2 making it 27/3.

Earlier, Australia had scred 313/5 in 50 overs with opener Usman Khawaja scoring 104, his 1st ODI ton, and his captain Aaron Finch scoring 93 runs. Glen Maxwell was run out for 47. Kuldeep Yadav took 3/64.
