Patna : India are struggling at 200/5 after 41 overs in the 1st ODI against Australia at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai, India, with Rishabh Pant (wk) batting on 16 hitting a for and all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja batting on 24 hitting 2 fours and a six. Pant and Jadeja have so far added 36 runs for the 6th wicket.

Opener Shikhar Dhawan and Lokesh Rahul added 121 runs for the 2nd wicket after the early departure of opener Rohit Sharma (10) with only 13 runs on board. Rahul fell to spinner Ashton Agar for 47 in 61 balls with 4 fours. Dhawan fell to fast bowler Pat Cummins soon after for 74 in 91 balls with 9 fours and a six making it 140/3. Rohit fell to fast bowler Mitchell Starc.

Captain Virat Kohli too fell to make significant contribution with bat falling to spinner Adam Zampa for 16 in 14 balls hitting a six and it was 156/4. Shreyas Iyer followed him soon falling to Starc for 4 making it 164/5.
