Patna : India were 202/4 after 37.4 overs against Afghanistan in their Asia Cup Super Four ODI match at Dubai International Cricket Stadium, Dubai, on September 25, 2018, late night with Dinesh Karthik batting on 42 and Kedar Jadhav batting 18.

Openers Lokesh Rahul and Ambati Thirupathi Rayudu scored 60 and 57 runs respectively. They added 110 run for the first wicket. But, both got out in quick succession. Raydu fell to Najibullah Nabi for 57 in 49 ball with 4 fours and 4 sixes when the score was 110. Rahul fell to spinner Rashid Khan for 60 in 66 ball with 5 fours and a six. Captain and wicketkeeper M S Dhoni fell to Javed Ahmadi for 8 while Manish Pandey fell to Aftab Alam for 8.

Electing to bat after winning the toss, Afghanistan made 252/8 in 50 overs riding on a 124 by wicketkeeper Mohammad Shahzad with 11 fours and 7 sixes and 64 by Mohammad Nabi with 3 fours and 4 sixes in 56 ball.

For Idia, Ravindra Jadeja took 3/46 while Kuldeep Yadav took 2/38. Kedar Jadhav, K Khaleel Ahmed, and Deepak Chahar took one wicket each.

India, who have already quaflified for the Asia Cup final, rested captain Rohit Sharma, vice-captain Shikhar Dhawan, Jasprit Bumrah, Bhuvaneshwar Kumar, and Yuzvendra Chahah for the match and brought in Lokesh Rahul, Manish Pandey, Khaleel Ahmed, Deepak Chahar, and Siddharth Kaul.
