Patna : Replying to South Africa’s first innings score of 335 all out, India were 183/5 at stumps on day two of the second cricket test at SuperSport Park, Centurion, South Africa, on January 14, 2018, with Captain Virat Kohli batting on 85 in 130 balls hitting 8 fours and all rounder Hardik Pandya batting on 11 in 29 balls hitting 2 fours.

Opener Murli Vijay made 46 in 126 balls hitting 6 fours while Cheteshwar Pujara was run out without scoring. Rohit Sharma was out for 10 in 27 balls hitting 2 fours while wicketkeeper Parthiv Patel scored 19 runs. Opener K L Rahul was out for 10. Kohli and Vijay were involved in a partnrship of 79 runs for the third wicket. The fifth Indian wicket fell at 164 when Parthiv Patel was out to pacer Lungi Ngigi. For South Africa, Kagiso Rabada, Morne Morkel, Ngidi, and Keshav Maharaj took one wicket each.

Earlier, resuming at their overnight score of 269/6, South Africa were all out for 335 just before lunch. South Africa Captain Faf du Plessis was out for 63 in 142 balls hitting 9 foursĀ  while Keshav Maharaj made 18, Rabada 11 and Morkel 6 on January 14. Opener Aiden Markram had made 94 and Hashim Amla 82 on the first day.
