Patna : India struggled to reach 181/6 in 82 overs at stumps ob on Day 4 in their 2nd innings in 2nd test against England at Lord’s, London, on August 15, 2021, night, Rishabh Pant (wk) was batting on 14 in 29 balls while fast bowler Ishant Sharma was unbeaten on 4. India lead by 154 runs.

India were reduced to 55/3 after 23.1 overs with openers K L Rahul (5 runs), Rohit Sharma (21 runs), and captain Virat Kohli (20 runs), back to pavilion. But, Cheteshwar Pujara and Ajinkya Rahane steadied the innings by stitching a 100 run partnership for the 4th wicket. , Pujara, however,  fell fast bowler Mark Wood for 45 in 206 balls with 4 fours making it 155/4. Rahane fell to spinner Moeen Ali for 61 in 146 balls with 5 fours and it was 167/5. All-rounder Ravindra Jadeja also fell to Moeen Ali for 3 making it 175/6.

Earlier, Mark Wood had jolted India by first taking the wicket of Rahul to make it 18/1 and then took the wicket of Rohit Sharma making it 27/2. Incidentally, Rohit had hit Mark Wood for a six in the same over.  Virat Kohli fell to Sam Curran and it was 55/3.
