Patna : India, who had scored 297 in their first innings, were 14/0 in their second innings at lunch on Day 3 of the 1st test against West Indies (WI) at Sir Vivian Richards Stadium, North Sound, Antigua, on August 24, 2019, night, with openers Mayank Agarwal and Lokesh Rahul batting on 8 and 6 runs respectively. India lead by 89 runs.

Earlier resuming at their overnight score of 189/8, WI were all out for 222 in their first innings with captain Jason Holder scoring 39 runs. Holder added 41 runs for 9th wicket with Miguel Cummins, who faced 45 balls without opening his account. Holder fell to Mohammad Shami while Cummins fell to Jadeja.

For India, Ishant Sharma took 5/43 in 17 overs while Mohammad Shami took 2/48 in 17 overs. Jasprit Bumrah took 1/55 in 18 overs. Spinner Ravindra Jadeja, who had scored 58 in India’s first innings, took 2/64.
