Ara : Bhojpur SP Rakesh Kumar Dubey suspended six police personnel including Station House Officer (SHO), Barhara police station(PS), on May 26, 2021, late evening, for allegedly connniving at illegal sand mining and loading and carrying of the the same.
The suspended police personnel are: SHO, Barhara PS, Deep Narayan Singh, SI Krishna Prasad, Hawaldar Karu Singh, driver cum constable Rajiv Ranjan, constable Mukesh Kumar, and constable Md Azad. The SP took the action after a video went viral on social media and the SDPO, Ara, submitted his inquiry report.
The SP said that a video related to illegal carrying of sand had gone viral on social media on May 24, 2021. Taking serious note of it, he directed the SDPO to inquire into the matter and submit report. The SDPO, in his inquiry report, found the allegations against the 6 police personnel including the SHO correct. The SP said that all the six police personnel were suspended on the basis of the inquiry report of the SDPO.
