IG constitutes Spl Team to probe murder of minor boy at school hostel

Patna : Zonal IG, Patna, N H Khan, on July 18, 2018, reviewed the progress of investigation into the recent murder of a minor boy Abhimanyu Kumar at the hostel of Shefali International School Hostel, Fatuha, in Patna district, and onstituted a nine member special investigation team (SIT) under the leadership of SP (Rural) to crack the case.
The special team compriss Additional SP (Sadar), SDPO, Fatuha, River Police Station, SHO, and SHO, Sahjahanpur PS, besides two technical members of SSP, Patna office. The IG directed SIT to carry out scientific and technical investigation into the case within 10 days. Khan said that the SIT members would give a patience hearing to anybody complaining about irregularities in the school or any information about the case. Videography of the witnesses is essential, he added.
Abhimanyu Kumar, it may be recalled, was strangulated to death recently at the Hostel of Shefali Internation School at Fatuha. Police later lodged a complaint against 19 persons based on the written statement of Santosh Kumar, a resident of village Rasulpur under Fatuha PS.
Jan Adhikar Party patron Rajesh Ranjan alias Pappu Yadav, MP, had met Zonal IG NH Khan on July 13 alleging irregularities at the said school.
