Buxar : A case of withdrawal of Indira Awas Yojana (IAY) from the account of a beneficiary Muni Ram of Mahadalit Tola of village Mathila under Dumraon sub-division in Buxar district without his knowledge has come to surface after the matter was reported to the Sub-divisional Public Grievance Redressal Office.
Muni Ram, in a communication to the Sub-divisional Public Grievance Redressal Officer, Dumraon, complained that the block office sent a notice to him telling him that the Indira Awas allotted to him had been not been completed so far even as fund for the same was given to him. Muni Ram was shocked to know that he was given Rs 45,000 for the purpose about six years ago. A register was also opened in his name. Block Development Officer, Dumraon, Janardan Tiwari said the matter has not come to his knowledge so far and added an inquiry would be ordered into the matter if such incident had happened.
