Hurkacz, Mannarino, Tsonga enter 2nd round of ATP City Open

Patna : World No 44 Hubert Hurkacz, 22, Poland, World No 66 Adrian Mannarino, 31, France,  and World No 72 Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, 34, France, entered the second round of City Open, an ATP World Tour 500 poi nts tournament, at Washington, USA, on July 30, 2019.

Hurkacz beat World No 195 Donald Young, 30, USA, 6-1, 6-4 in the first round. Hurkacz won 4 break points to just 1 by Young.  Hurkacz also won 5 games in a row in the match. He fired 5 Aces in the match to 1 by the American. Hurkacz will square up against World No 15 John Isner, 34, USA, in the next round on July 31, 2019.

Mannarino beat World No 126 Illya Ivashka, 25, Belarus, 7-6, 6-3 in the first round. Mannarino won 4 break points to 2 by Ivashka. He served 7 Aces to 8 by Ivashka. Mannarino won 5 games in a row in the match to 3 by Ivashka.

Tsonga defeated World No 99 Brayden Schnur, Canada, a qualifier,  6-4, 7-6 to enter the 2nd round, Tsonga fired  18 Aces in the match to 4 by Schnur. Tsonga also won 3 games in a row in the match besides winning a break point.
