Ara : Himachal Pradesh police with the help of their Bhojpur counterpart recovered a girl from Bind Toli Ward No 4 under Ara Town police station on October 23, 2018, evening, and also arrested her lover Pankaj Bind but the girl gave a slip to police at Ara railway station and escaped from the police custody.
SHO, Ara Town Police Station, J P Singh said that Pankaj Bind, a mason of Bind Toli Ward No 4 under Ara Town Police Station, worked at a house in Himachal Pradesh where he fell in love with the daughter of the owner of the house about two months ago. The girl eloped with Pankaj Bind and tied knot with him at a temple there and both returned to Pankaj Bind’s house at Bind Toli about a month a ago and were living there together.
The parents of the girl lodged a named FIR with police there against Pankaj Bind alleging he had kidnapped their daughter. The Himachal Pradesh police, on the basis of mobile phone surveillance, reached Ara on October 23 along with parents of the girl and with the help of their Bhojpur counterpart and the Deputy Mayor, Ara Municipal Corporation, Malti Devi, recovered the girl and arrested Pankaj Bind.
The girl said that she loved Pankaj Bind and tied knot with him on her own. She said that she had eloped with Pankaj Bind and showed her willingness to live with him.
On the other hand, when the Himachal Pradesh police was taking them to Himachal Pradesh, the girl on the pretext of going to lavatory, gave a slip to police at Ara railway station and escaped. Police and the parents of the girl are now searching for her everywhere. Police are putting pressure on the family members of Pankaj Kumar to disclose the location of the girl but they showed their ignorance saying that Pankaj Bind was in their custody and the girl escaped from their custody.
