Ara : A middleage man, owner of a hotel, committed suicide on April 18, 2020, by hanging himself to the ceiling of the hotel in Katira locality under Nawada police station, Ara, in Bhojpur District.
Police brought the body over to Ara Sadar Hospital for post-mortem. An FIR has been lodged with Nawada police station in this connection and police are investigating the matter. The deceased was identified as Bhuti Rai of Kazipur under Doriganj police station in Saran district. The reason behind the incident is still to be ascertained.
SHO, Nawada police station, Sanjeev Kumar, said that Bhuti Rai along with his family members was living at a rented house in Katira locality for the last 30 years and ran a hotel in the area. On April 18, he committed suicide by hanging himself to the ceiling of the hotel. The family members said that he was mentally unstable and was undergoing treatment for the last several months.
