High Court seeks explanation from Bhojpur DM

Ara : Patna High Court has served a show cause to Bhojpur DM Sanjeev Kumar for his failure to comply with its order even after a year.

The High Court had directed the Bhojpur DM in March 2018 to inquire into irregularities in the promotion of teachers to the post of Headmaster within three months. The DM asked the Deputy Development Commissioner (DDC) Shumbham Shubhankar to inquire into the matter. The DDC submitted his inquiry report on seven points to the DM in October 2018. The DDC, in his report, had said that the District Education Officer (DEO) had illegally promoted 427 teachers to the post of headmaster without verification. Despite submission of inquiry report, the DM did not take any action in this connection.

Taking serious note of it, the High Court has directed the Bhojpur DM to file a show cause in the court as to why the inquiry was not completed within stipulated time.
