Patna: A single bench of Patna high court presided by Justice Jitendra Mohan Sharma on Wednesday granted bail to former RJD MP from Siwan Mohammad Shahabuddin in Siwan Town police station case of 2014 relating to murder, cospiracy (120 (b) of Indian Penal Code) and 27, Arms Act. His bail application was earlier rejected by the court.

The ex-MP was in judicial custody in connection with Mahadeva police oupost case of 2004 relating to murder of two brothers. One Rajesh Roshan was an important witness in this case. When he was going to court for deposition in that double murder case, he was killed and Shahabuddin was charged with planning his murder from behind the bars. Considering all facts of the case, the court granted bail to Shahabuddin.
