Patna : A Division bench of Patna High Court (HC) dismissed Leader of Opposition in Bihar Assembly Tejaswi Yadav’s petition challenging Bihar government’s order asking him to vacate the bungalow allotted to him when he was the Deputy Chief Minister. The HC order comes as a setback to RJD leader Tejaswi Yadav.

A division bench of Chief Justice A P Sahi and Justice Anjana Mishra rejected Tejaswi Yadav’s petition challenging a single-judge order of October 6, 2018, which had turned down his petition against the state government’s direction.

Tejaswi occupies the 5, Desh Ratna Marg bungalow, which is located near the Raj Bhavan and the chief Ministers official residence. Nitish Kumar government has asked Tejaswi to swap residences with Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi, who lives at 1, Polo Road.
