Halep, Wozniacki remain World No 1& 2 in WTA rankings, Ankita World No 201

Patna : Simona Halep, Romania, Caroline Wozniacki, Denmark, Angelique Kerber, Germany, and Naomi Osaka, Japan, remain World No 1, 2, 3, 4 respectively in WTA rankings released on October 15, 2018. Halep has 7,421 points, Wozniacki 6,461 points, Kerber 5,400 points, and Osaka 4,740 points.

But, Dayana Yastremska, Ukraine, has jumped 36 places to be ranked World No 66 with 870 points after winning the WTA Hong Kong Open singles title on October 14, 2018. Karolina Pliskova, Czech Republic, is World No 5 with 4,465 points while Elina Svitolina, Ukraine, is World No 6 with 4,350 points. Two time Wimbledon champion Petra Kvitova, Czech Republic, is World No 7 with 4,255 points while 2017 US Open Champion Sloane Stephens, USA, is World No 8 with 4,022 points.

Winner of 23 Grand Slam singles titles Serena Williams, USA, is World No 17 with 2,976 points while her elder sister Venus Williams is World No 22 with 2,161 points..

Ankita Raina, India, has jumped 5 places to be ranked World No 201 with 291 points while Karman Kaur Thandi, India, has slipped one place and is ranked World No 215 with 271 points. Rutuja Bhosle, India, has jumped 13 places to be ranked World No 368 with 112 points.
