Patna : Simona Halep, 27, Romania, remains World No 1 female tennis player in the WTA rankings released on October 22, 2018, with 6,921 points but reigning Wimbledon Champion Angelique Kerber, 30, Germany, has jumped one place to ranked World No 2 with 5,375 points relegating Caroline Wozniacki, 28, Denmark, to World No 3 with 5,086 points.

Ons Jabeur, 24, Tunisia, who reached the final of Kremlin Cup, a premier tournament on WTA tour, has jumped 39 places to be ranked World No 62 with 943 points. Winner of 7 Grand Slam titiles including 5 Wimbledon titles Venus Williams, 38, USA, has slipped 18 places to be ranked World No 40. Her younger sister and winner of 23 Grand Slam titles Serana Williams, 37, USA, has jumped two places to be ranked World No 15 with 2,976 points.

Daria Kasatkina, 21, Russia, has jumped 4 places and is ranked World No 10 with 3,315 points.  Champion Garbine Muguruza, 25, Spain, the 2017 Wimbledon Champion, has slipped 4 places to be ranked World No 17 with 2,725 points.

Ankita Raina, 25, India, has jumped 6 places to be ranked World No 195 with 291 points. Karman Kaur Thandi, 20, India, remain static at World No 215 with 271 points. Rutuja Bhosle also remains static at World No 368 with 111 points.
