Gujarat police conduct raid at Ara jewellery shop in Vadodara jewellery theft case

Ara : A five-member police team from Vadodara in Gujarat, with the help of their Bhojpur counterpart, conducted raids at a jewellery shop in  Aranya Devi locality under Ara Town police station in Bhojpur District on October 28, 2019, evening, in connection with theft of jewellery worth about Rs 50 lakh there and interrogated the shop keeper for about three hours. According to unconfirmed reports, police recovered jewellery from the jewellery shop.

ASI, Yadash Chulus police station, Vadadara, P T Jaiswal, said that jewellery worth about Rs 50 lakh was stolen from a shop in the area some days ago and police arrested Shikara Sanjay of Maharashtra in this connection who revealed that he had stolen the jewellery and sold them at Ara and other places. ASI Jaiswal said that the Vadodara police reached Ara with Shikara Sanjay for identification of the shopkeeper to whom he had sold the stolen jewellery. The ASI refused to give more details in this regard.
