Patna: Aurangabad Police have been put on maximum alert following arrest of one Arif Khan by members of Anti-terrorist Squad (ATS), Gujarat, from Nawadih locality under Town police station late on Saturday evening. Members of ATS team from Gujarat conducted raid at the house of one Aatiq Khan in Nawadih locality under Town police station and arrested his son Arif Khan. The ATS team was led by a SI rank officer R K Amit.
Sadar SDPO, Aurangabad, P N Sahu said that Gujarat ATS team reached here and conducted raid at the house of Aatiq Khan and arrested his son for his alleged terror links. He said that members of ATS team also interrogated Arif and later returned to Gujarat with him. Police sources revealed that Arif was wanted in connection with a case lodged with ATS, Gujarat, in 2015. For the past one year, Gujarat Police and ATS were trying to locate Arif. Soon after the arrest, the district police started gathering information about the activities of Arif’s family members.
