Bokaro ( Jharkhand) : With a view to helping the students understand the need to explore myriad opportunities to develop holistically, a ‘Guest Speaker Programme’ was organised on December 15, 2021, by DPS Bokaro, Jharkhand, for its Class XI students. A 2016 alumnus of DPS Bokaro, Trisha Shreyashi, 22, an emerging lawyer, deliberated on the need to be zealous and explore varied avenues which the students want to pursue for career growth as well as for professional satisfaction.
A BA. LL.B, at 22, Trisha was recently felicitated as the Emerging Counsel of the Year (Commercial Litigation), 2021 at the 10th Annual International Conference on Law & Policy Issues, titled 72nd Constitution Day at Constitution Club, New Delhi. She is a member at the Advisory Council of Harvard Business Review, Harvard University at Massachusetts, USA. She has recently joined the famed Academic Panel of Cambridge University Press, London. She is also an academic author who frequently contributes in newspapers like: The Hindustan Times Mint, The Statesman, The Hindu, The Times of India, The Pioneer, and Deccan Herald.
Enlightening the students with her invigorating words, Trisha helped the students realise that they all have their personal benchmarks but they must learn to discipline themselves to get a clearer perception of life. The core area of her presentation was the knowledge of duties and rights with which we can always take a stand. She also emphasised on the necessity of constant learning, awareness of the contemporary world, and a strong perspective that can be developed with practice and passion.
Nostalgic about the time she spent at school, Trisha said, ” I am deeply humbled to have been given this opportunity to interact with the students of my own school which offered me the opportunity to try out every sphere, get the difference between right and wrong, understand and accept various perspectives and most importantly never to give into the situations but to understand it as a third party while being an active party to it and handle the situation. This is where I have learnt real life skills.” The programme concluded with an interactive session wherein children put forward their queries and Trisha replied to their satisfaction.
Principal, DPS Bokaro, A S Gangwar, said that it is indeed overwhelming to see our students emerge successful in their chosen fields. “Always remember that no dream is too big. You must have faith in the power of your dreams and be ready to take the risk to make them true,” he added.
