Buxar : The Government Rail Police (GRP), Buxar, lodged an FIR against 500 unknown persons on February 28, 2018, for ransacking the GRP and RPF offices at Buxar on February 26, 2018, and also arrested six persons and forwarded them to jail. Earlier, an FIR was lodged with Buxar Muffassil police station against 25 named and 1,000 unknown persons on February 26, 2018, night for damaging government property and burning police picket.

RPF Commandant Chandra Mishra visited Buxar railway station on February 28 and said that the troublemakers had damaged property worth lakhs of rupees hence stern action would be taken against them. He said that a troop of RPSF has been deployed at Buxar railway station adding that boundaries should be made on either side of the railway station for security reason.

Matriculation examinees demanding cancellation of Mathematics paper went on rampage and set ablaze Buxar Muffassil police station and some vehicles parked there on February 26. They also damaged the GRP and RPF police stations, Booking Counters, Station Master cabin, inquiry counter at Buxar railway station under Danapur division of East Central Railway (ECR), Hajipur, and threw all the goods of the police station on the railway track paralysing movement of trains on Up and Down lines for about three hours. The matriculation examinees were upset with the Mathematics questions on February 26 and after the examination claimed that the questions asked were out of the syllabus.
