Patna : World Number 6 tennis player Grigor Dimitrov, Bulgaria, defeated World Number 8 David Goffin, Belgium, 6-0, 6-2, in 73 minutes at O2 arena, London, on November 15, 2017, night, to enter the semi-fianls of ATP World Tour Finals with a match to spare.
It turned out to be a one sided match as Goffin, who had defeated an injured Rafael Nadal, the World Number 1 tennis players from Spain, 7-6, 6-7, 6-4, on November 13, could not put up a fight against Dimitrov, who had defeated Dominic Thiem, Austria, in his first Group A match. Goffin will now have to beat Dominic Thiem, Austria, to enter the semi-finals. Dimitrov will next face Pablo Carreno Busta, Spain, who has replaced Nadal, who pulled out of the tournament due to knee injury, on November 17.
World Number 2 Roger Federer, Switzerland, has also entered the semi-finals defeating Alexander Zverev, 20, of Germany, in his second Group B match. Federer, 36, had defeated Jack Sock, US, in his first Group B match.
