Ara : New buildings will be constructed on the new campus of Veer Kuer Singh University (VKSU), Ara, on Zero Mile as the state government has sanctioned Rs. 2 crore for the purpose. In the first phase, administrative block will be constructed and after that other buildings will be constructed including the Post Graduate departments.

The VKSU was established in 1992 but construction work had not started on the new campus even after 25 years despite several requests to the government. In 2016, the university administration had sent a proposal of Rs 58 crore for the construction of building on the new campus. Only buildings of examination department and BEd department have so far been constructed on the new campus.  Education Minister, Bihar, Ashok Chaudhary had demanded proposals for the construction of buildings when he had come here to inaugurate the building of BEd department.

VC, VKSU, Sayyed Mumtazudding said the government has sanctioned Rs 2 crore for the construction purposes and construction work will be started as soon as the fund is received. He said that he would ensure construction of buildings is by the end of this year.
