Patna: Bihar government has decided to constitute Bihar Police Sub-ordinate Service Commission for making recommendations for recruitment of  sub-ordinate uniformed staff in Police, Forest, Transport  and Excise departments. The government  sanctioned creation of 46 posts for the commission secretariat.

According to a notification issued by General administration department (GAD), the commission will have four members and a chairman. The Chairman of the commission shall be a serving or retired DG of police or additional DG of police. Among the members, two will be retired or serving DIGs of police, two joint secretary rank serving or retired officers in Excise, Forest, Disaster management or Transport departments. Of the four, one will be from minority community and another from either SC or ST.
Finance and law departments have approved the creation of the commission for which members and chairman would be appointed shortly.
