Patna  : Bihar Governor cum Chancellor of State Universities Lalji Tandon on May 15, 2019, warned the university officials concerned of stern action if they fail to implement the directives of the Raj Bhavan. Reviewing the functioning of Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar Bihar University (BRABU) , Muzaffarpur, at Raj Bhavan,  the Governor stressed on wiping out corruption from university administration across the state.

BRABU VC Dr Amrendra Nayan Yadav, Pro-VC Dr R K Mandal, and several senior officials of the university were present at the review meeting.

Governor Tandon said that it was the responsibility of the VCs to create an academic atmosphere on the university and college campuses. The VCs are also responsible for maintaining administrative and financial discipline under their respective jurisdiction, Governor Tandon said. The Governor said that he would not tolerate any lapse in NAAC Accreditation by university and colleges, implementation of academic calendar and UMIS by the universities.

The Governor expressed his strong displeasure over the failure of VC, BRABU, to complete the distribution of 4,000 original certificates despite directive from the Governor’s Secretariat.
