Patna: Bihar governor Ram Nath Kovind on Sunday regretted commercialisation of health and education sectors. Inaugurating the regional conference of National Medical Organisation (NMO) at the Indira Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences (IGIMS), Patna, conference hall, the governor said that it was due to commercialisation of health sector that incidents of exploitation of patients, foeticides, administration of sub-standard drugs to patients and professional negligence were being reported from even big hospitals. He also referred to the role of middlemen at big hospitals. He lauded the role of NMO in the health sector. IGIMS director Dr N R BIswas and NMO president Dr M C Patel also addressed the conference.
