Patna : Bihar governor Ram Nath Kovind while addressing the NITP convocation as the chief guest at S K heheMemorial Hall here on December 13 said that while the role of money and technology had increased in every walk of life, space for social justice and public welfare has shrunk. The present education system was producing money making youth burdened with loads of information only but it has failed to make them creative and sensitive, the governor said.
Governor Kovind said that the success of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, Skill Development Scheme, Make in India and Digital India programmes of the central government and Bihar government’s various programmes will depends on technical developments ushered in young scientists and engineers. The special guest of the programme Prof Damodar Acharya stressed on continuous research for scientific and technical development. Chairman, Board of Governors, NIT, Manish Sabharwal said that the NITP has a glorious past and is a centre of attraction among the students. NITP Director Ashok De also addressed the function. The governor and other dignitaries distributed degrees among successful students.
