Governor Fagu Chauhan reviews functioning of two universities

Patna : Governor cum Chancellor of State Universities Fagu Chauhan, who on October 21, 2019, reviewed the functioning of Nalanda Open University (NOU), Patna, and Maulana Majharul Haq Arabi and Persian University, Patna, at Raj Bhavan, asked all the universities to accord top priority to maintaining academic calendar.

Additional Chief Secretary to Governor Brajesh Mehrotra, VCs, Pro-VCs, and Registrars of the two universities, and senior officials of the Governor’s Secretariat were present on the occasion.

The Governor directed Maulana Majharul Haw Arabi and Persian University to develop and modernise all its Knowledge Resource Centres. The Governor also directed the VC, NOU, to provide quality study materials to the students. The NOU is at present running 213 study centres including one at Beur Central Jai, Patna, and has initiated measures to establish another 87 study centres. The Governor also reviewed the implementation of University Management Information System in the two universities.
