Gopalganj: The court of the Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM), Go,palganj Ramawadh Prasad on Wednesday rejected the bail petition of Grahan Pasi, the mastermind of Khajurbanni liquor tragedy. The court rejected his bail petition after hearing the arguments of defence and prosecution lawyers.
Defending his client, lawyer Ved Prakash Tiwary argued that his client was admitted to a hospital at Noida on August 16, the day of the incident. He said that Grahan’s entire family resides in Delhi and he owns a house there. Special Public Prosecutor Ravibhushan Srivastava said that several people had died while many others fell ill after consuming the liquor manufactured by the accused. The defence lawyer later said that he would appeal in the court of the District and Sessions Judge.
