Ara : In a horrible incident, a girl taking her BA Part III examination was stripped off by her father Firoz Ahmad and uncle Shahzada in full public view outside an exam centre at Ara on December 21, 2020, for marrying a man against their wish. Police arrested both Firoz Ahmad and Shahzada after the incident after lodging a named FIR against them with Town Police Station (PS), Ara.
The girl had reached Ara with her husband on December 21, 2020, to take her BA part III examination. Firoz Ahmad and Shahzada are natives of village Sandesh village under the same police station in Bhojpur district.
SHO, Ara Town PS, Avinash Kumar, quoting the FIR, said that Firoz Ahmad has two wives. After his second marriage, he overlooked his first wife and his daughter and always insulted and tortured them. His daughter started living with her mother at Patna. Meanwhile, she tied knot with a man at Patna that infuriated her father and uncle. She had come to Ara along to take BA part III examination. Her father and uncle somehow came to know about it and they also reached the examination centre.
When the girl came out of the examination hall, her father and uncle forced her to go with them but she refused. At this, they started thrashing her in full public view and also stripped her off. Someone videographed the whole incident and sent the video to Bhojpur SP Har Kishore Rai. On the direction of the SP, police personnel from Ara Town PS rushed to the spot and arrested Firoz and his brother.
