Buxar: Modesty of a teenage girl was outraged at village Keshavpur under Tilakrai Hata police outpost in Buxar district on Friday. SHO, Woman Police station, Buxar, Kanchan Kumari said a teenage girl had gone to a field on the bank of river Ganga along with her buffalo for grazing. A miscreant of the same village, Ramesh Yadav forcibly dragged her to a nearby field and outraged her modesty on Friday. When she protested, he also thrashed her. The victim informed her family members about the incident who took her to Tilak Rai Ka Hata police outpost but the SHO there forwarded her to the woman police station where an FIR has been lodged but no arrest has so far been made in this connection. The police also brought her to Buxar Sadar Hospital for her medical examination.
Salary of 24 headmasters stopped: The Buxar DM stopped salary of 24 Headmasters of middle and primary schools of the district headquarters on Saturday after submission of an inquiry report by the officials of the education department about largescale irregularities under different heads.Buxar DM Raman Kumar had ordered the officials of the education department on April 20, 2016, to inquire into irregularities in teaching, attendance of students and teachers and mid-day meal in these middle and primary schools. The team of the officials of education department visited altogether 25 schools in the district and detected largescale irregularities.
