Ara : A teenage girl was crushed to death while her minor brother was injured when a speeding tractor knocked them down near Middle School at village Orasi under Tarari police station in Bhojpur District on June 7, 2020.
Police brought the body over to Ara Sadar Hospital for post-mortem and admitted the injured there. The deceased was identified as Amirta Kumari, 13, daughter of Ramdas Singh of village Orasi. The injured was identified as Prince Kumar, 10. Police seized the tractor though its driver escaped from the spot. Police lodged an FIR in this connection and are conducting raids to arrest the driver.
SHO, Tarari police station, Arvind Kumar, said that Amrita Kumari along with her younger brother Prince Kumar had gone to coaching centre at Badaka Gaon. When they were returning from tuition, a speeding tractor knocked them down near the Middle School on Kurmuri Canal road at Orasi village. Amrita Kumari was killed on spot while her brother Prince Kumar was injured.
