Girl elopes with lover with Rs 8 lakh cash, jewellery worth Rs 10 lakh

Buxar : An adult girl eloped with her lover with ornaments worth Rs 10 lakh and Rs 8 lakh cash from Sohani Patti area under Buxar police station. An FIR was lodged with Buxar Town police station in Buxar district in this connection on June 24, 2017.

The girl went out of her house at Sohani Patti under Buxar Town police station on June 18, 2017, saying she was going to a Beauty Parlour but she reached the State Bank of India along with her lover and drew Rs 8 lakh from the bank which her father had deposited in her name for her marriage. She had already taken ornaments of her sisters-in-law (bhabhi) with her. She escaped with her lover without any information to parents. When she did not return, her parents searched for her everywhere and finally lodged an FIR with Buxar Town police station on June 24 .

SHO, Buxar Town police station, said that bank confirmed cash drawal on June 18 and the CCTV footage also showed that the girl had come with a youth for drawing cash.
