Patna : Medium fast bowler Mohammed Sira, 26, and opening batsman Shubhman Gill, 21, will make their test debut in the 2nd cricket test test against Australia at Melbourne, Australia,  on December 26, 2020. India on December 25 announced four changes in the side that played the 1st test bringing back wicketkeeper Rishab Pant,23,  and all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja, 32.

Ajinkya Rahane, 32, will lead the side having made his test debut in 2013 against Australia. Rahane has played 66 test scoring 11 tons.Australia lead the four-match series 1-0.

Jadeja, who has played 49 tests, 168 ODIs, and 50 T20Is, has come in in place of captain Virat Kohli, who has proceeded on paternity leave. Jadeja made his test debut in 2012 and ODI and T20I debut in 2009. He plays for Saurashtra in domestic cricket. Pant has replaced Wriddhiman Saha (wk), 36. Pant made his test and ODI debut in 2018 and T20I debut in 2017. Pant has played 13 tests scoring 2 centuries.

Siraj has replaced injured fast bowler Mohd Shami while Gill has come in place of out of form opener Prithvi Shaw. Gill will open the innings with Mayank Agarwal.
