Gangster Rajendra Chaudhary arrested in Bagaha, 2 kidnapped from Nepal rescued

Bagaha : Notorious gangster Rajendra Chaudhary alias Rajendra Chauhan, son of Sudama Chaudhary of village Bakuli under Laukaria Police in Bagaha police district, who was carrying a reward of Rs 50,000, on his head, was arrested on March 21, 2019, with a countrymade gun and five live cartridges from Chiutaha Forest Range under Chiutaha  police station, in a forest combing operation carried out jointly by Bagaha SP Arvind Kumar Gupta and West Champaran  SP Jayant Kant with police Force.

Rajendra Chaudhary alias Rajendra Chauhan was wanted in over two dozens criminal cases including murder, kidnapping, loot, Arms Act, dacoity cases lodged with Laukaria, Naurangia, Chautarawa, Semara, Bhairoganj, Ramnagar, Gobardhana, Valmikinagar, and Bagaha police stations in Bagaha police district.

Bagaha SP Arvind Kumar Gupta on March 22, 2019, said that apart from arresting Rajendra Chaudhary, police rescued two kidnapped persons of Nepal: Suresh Sao and Kasi Kumar, from whose families he had demanded Rs 50 lakh each as ransom. Rajendra Chaudhary’s two accomplices, however, managed to escape.

Suresh Sao and Kasi Kumar, who were rescued by police, were later on handed over to Nepal police after verifying their identity. SP Gupta said that after his arrest Rajendra Chaudhary told police that his name was Munna Chaudhary. But after police verification, it was confirmed that he was Rajendra Chaudhary of village Bakuli under Laukaria Police station in Bagaha police district. Rajendra had unleashed terror in the area for the past several years.
