Fucsovics reaches final of ATP Sofia Open

Patna : Marton Fucsovics, 27, Hungary, entered the final of ATP Sofia Open, a World Tour 250 point tennis tournament, edging past World No 53 Matteo Berrettini, 22, Italy, in a three-set thriller. World No 47 in ATP rankings Fucsovics beat Berrettini 5-7, 7-5, 6-3 in the semi-finals on February 9, 2019, night, at Sofia, Bulgaria.

Berrettini won one break point in the match. Incidentally, Berrettini’s winning percentage both on his first and second serve ( 83% & 64%) was also better than that of Fucsovics ( 76% & 61 %). Berrettini also won three games in a row in the match. Fucsovics served 6 Aces in the match to 5 by Berrettini. Fucsovis committed 3 double faults to 1 by his rival.
