Sasaram : A fruit seller died after a speeding truck dashed his handcart at village Bardiha under Nasariganj police station in Rohtas district on April 11, 2019, evening. Police seized the truck and arrested its driver. The deceased was identified as Vindhyachal Sah of village Bardiha.
SHO, Nasariganj police station, Sushant Kumar said that Vindhyachal Sah of Bardiha was selling fruits on the roadside for the last several years. On April 11 evening, a speeding sand laden truck dashed his handcart and injured him. The local admitted him to a private clinic at Itimha but the doctors referred him to Dehri-on-Sone where he succumbed to his injuries during treatment.
Meanwhile, the villagers caught the truck and handedit over to police at Karakat village when the driver was trying to escape after the incident. The SHO said that the driver was arrested and truck was seized.
