Ara : Under the banner of Lok Jagrirti, Ara, and Arya Samaj, a day long free Yoga camp was organized at Ara Ramana Maidan and Ram Leela Maidan on June 21, 2021, to mark the International Yoga Day. Around two thousand men, women, boys, girls, and school children attended the camp. Vijendra Kumar Singh and others imparted Yoga training to the participants.
A symposium on ‘Importance of Yoga’ was organized at Veer Kuer Singh University (VKSU), Ara, on the occasion. Vice Chancellor,VKSU, inaugurated the symposium. The symposium was organized by the NSS, VKSU unit. Addressing the gathering, Registrar VKSU, Col Shyamanand Jha, and Scientist, SCADA, P K Dwiwedi, said that Yoga is part and parcel of Indian culture and civilisation and life style. They said that attracted by its benefits, people across the world are practicing Yoga on June 21.
The VC, VKSU, said that the Yoga improves physical, mental, and spiritual strength of a person and motivates him to lead a healthy life. He also said that one can live healthy life only after practicing Yoga daily and gave a clarion call to people to follow it.
Ashok Sharma, former Bhojpur District JD(U) President, said that India is the birth place of Yoga and regular practice of Yoga can cure and even eradicate incurable diseases and epidemic. The Department of Post launched special counselling to make the people aware of the importance of Yoga to mark the 7th International Yoga Day.
