Ara : Under the banner of Patanjali Yoga Samiti and Prakritik Yog Peeth, a day-long free Yoga camp was organised at Ara Ramana Maidan in Bhojpur district on June 21, 2019, to mark the 5th International Day of Yoga Day.  Around two thousands men, women, boys, girls, and school children attended the camp.

Dr Savita Rungta, Gynaecologist, and Dwijendra Kiran, Director, Sambhawana School, jointly inaugurated the Yoga camp at Ramana Maidan. Swami Vikramditya, Vijendra Kumar Singh, and Surendra Chaurasia imparted training to the participants and also informed them about the importance of Yoga in day to day life. Shambhu Nath, Vishnu Shankar, Amardeep Jai, Karn Ji, Raj Kumar and other contributed a lot in organising the Yoga camp.

A symposium on ‘Importance of Yoga’ was organised at Veer Kuer Singh University (VKSU), Ara,  to mark the day. Vice Chancellor, VKSU, Devi Prasad Tiwari, inaugurated and presided over the meeting. The symposium was organized by the NSS, VKSU unit.

Addressing the gathering, Registrar VKSU, Col Shyamanand Jha, said that Yoga is part and parcel of Indian culture and civilisation and life style. He said that Yoga Day has become historic day and is playing pivotal role in bringing the people together.

VC, VKSU, Devi Prasad Tiwari said that the Yoga improves physical, mental and spiritual strength of a person and motivates him to lead a healthy life. He also said that one can live healthy only after practicing Yoga daily.
