Saharsa : Five persons including four women sustained serious burn injuries in an incident of acid attack on them in Sarrahi Colony under Sadar Police Station, Saharsa, in Saharsa District in North Bihar on April 24, 2020, in a fight related to alleged theft of an LPG Cylinder from the house of Pramod Sah the same day. All the five injured persons are family members of Pramod Sah.
Pramod Sah had lodged an FIR with Sadar Police Station, Saharsa, on April 24 alleging theft of an LPG Cylinder from his house. Police had arrested a youth Kanhaiya in this connection the same day. In a reaction, Kanhaiya’s brother and family members attacked family members of Pramod Sah with acid in which five persons including Priyanka Kumari, Kavita Devi, Tunn Devi, and Suraj Kumar sustained burn injuries.
All injured persons were rushed to Sadar Hospital, Saharsa. Police have arrested two persons including a woman in connection with the incident and are conducting raids to arrest rest of the accused. Police ASI Dhanbihari Mishra visited Sadar Hospital to record the statements of injured persons.
