Four persons die due to Diarrhoea, several lying ill at Bagaha village

Bagaha : Four persons have died and dozens of other have fallen ill during last 7 days as Diarrhoea has broken out at village Harpur in Bhaisahi – Pararkhap panchayat under Bhairoganj police station in Bagaha police district.

Four persons : Sudama Kumar, 60, Krishnawati  Devi, 35, Badami Devi, 40, and Satyam, 2, died due to Diarrhoea while dozens of other are lying ill due to it.  A team of doctors from Primary Health Centre (PHC), Bagaha-1 Block, led by Dr S N Mahto reached the village on August 5, 2019, and are camping there.

Mukhia, Bhaisahi- Pararkhap panchayat, Kalpnath Pandey, said that Diarrhoea had broken out  due to waterlogging at the village. According Dr S N Mahto, ORS packets and other medicine are being provided  to the affected people while bleaching  powder and lime were being sprayed house to house. The disease is under control, Dr  Mahto  said.
