Ranchi (Jharkhand) : With four persons testing positive for Covid–19 on April 19, 2020, the number of Cronavirus confirmed cases rose to 38 in the state of Jharkhand. Of the 4 positive cases detected on April 19,  three are from Ranchi while one is from Simdega district. Two patients had died due to the disease in Jharkhand earlier.

The report about these positive cases were released on April 19 by Rajendra Institute of Medical Science ( RIMS), Ranchi, which had collected samples of 93 persons of different states of which 89 were found negative while 4 tested positive. This information was given by  Health Secretary, Jharkhand,  Nitin Kulkarni.

So far Coronavirus positive cases have been reported from Ranchi, Bokaro, Koderma, Hazaribagh, Giridih, Dhanbad, and Simdega in Jharkhand.
Meanwhile, Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren on April 19 tweeted to the Prime Minister seeking help from the centre in bringing back hundreds of its students attending coaching classes at Kota in Rajasthan just as it helped  UP Chief Minister in bringing back students from the state from there.
