Gopalganj : Four members of a family travelling in a car from Delhi died in a road accident on March 26, 2021, night, after their car collided head on with a speeding mini truck near Dumariya Ghat road bridge under Mahamadpur police station (PS) in Gopalganj District in North Bihar. Police sent the bodies to Gopalganj Sadar Hospital for post-mortem.
According to police sources, the deceased were identified as Sanjeev Jha, 52, his wife Nimi Jha, 45, his daughter Astha Kumari, 23, and son Raj Kumar Jha, 19. They were coming from Delhi by their own car and were enroute their native village Banagaon in Saharsa District in North Bihar to celebrate Holi with their family members. As soon as they crossed Dumariyaghat road bridge on NH28 the car collided head on with a mini truck coming from opposite direction. They died on
the spot. The bodies were handed over to the family members of Sanjeev Jha by police. The truck and car were seized by police. The driver and helper of the truck escaped after the accident.
