Sitamarhi: Four members of a family were killed at village Banchauri under Dumra police station in Sitamarhi district on June 3, 2018, evening, in a protracted land dispute in the family.

Ram Vilas Sah, 58, Sunita Devi, 55, Rahul Kumar, 28, and Bhola Sah, 25, were killed with sharpedged weapons and sticks in a fierce fight with Ram Vilas’s second wife and her children. Police have arrested three persons in this connection. Banchauri is about 6 km from Sitamarhi town.
This is the second case of murder within a week under Dumra police station in Sitamarhi district. District Welfare Officer (SC/ST) Shubh Narain Dutta, 57, was shot dead by three motorbike borne criminals on May 31, 2018, evening, near Kailashpuri Colony. None has been arrested in this case so far.
