Gopalganj: A special task force team constituted by Gopalganj SP Ravi Ranjan Kumar carried out raid in riverine belts under Jadopur police station in the district and arrested four criminals from there. Police also seized two countrymade pistols besides six live cartridges from the possession of the arrested criminals.
Talking to mediapersons here on Wednesday evening, Gopalganj SP Ravi Ranjan Kumar said that the arrested criminals were planning to loot cash close to some bank in Gopalganj urban area. He said that acting on secret information that some criminals had assembled in the riverine belts in Jadopur locality, a special task force team was dispatched there, which arrested these criminals. SP Kumar said that the arrested persons had been identified as Ratikant Singh, Umesh Kumar, Shravan Kumar and Ravi Kumar. He said that raids were on to arrest other two criminals, who managed to escape.
