Ranchi (Jharkhand) : Former Minister and BJP MLA from Chandankyari in Bokaro District in Jharkhand Amar Boury, a close confidante of former CM Raghubar Das, on July 6, 2020, dared CM Hemant Soren throw him out of his ministerial bungalow till the new bungalow allotted to him at Dhurwa, Ranchi, is totally remodelled. Boury had held 4 important portfolios in Raghubar Das regime.
It may be mentioned here that soon after Hemant Soren came to power, he had asked all former NDA ministers including Boury to vacate the ministerial bunglow as they were earmarked for ministers to which Boury’ plea was that since he was still an MLA he needed a better bungalow. The Building Construction Department allotted him F-25, Sector 3, Dhurwa, Ranchi. But, Boury refused to enter the new quarter unless remodelling was done.
Talking this scribe, Boury said that the last date given to him to vacate his old bungaloqw was June 16, 2020, but as washrooms in new quasrter were not up to mark he refused to shift and sent a letter to the state government on June 30, 2020, in this connection. “How can one shift unless the reconstruction works are done. I was senior minister earlier. They want to kick me out on road..let them do. Hemant Government is trying to take revenge with NDA. They will fail,” stated former minister Boury.
When contacted, an officer of Building Construction Department, who did not wish to be quoted, said, ” It is a lame excuse. It is obvious, no one enjoying luxurious life wants to leave such bungalows. The bungalow allotted to him as already been renovated.”
