New Delhi : PM Narendra Modi on July 27, 2017, condoled the demise of former Karnataka CM N Dharam Singh, 80. “Saddened by the demise of former Karnataka CM Shri N Dharam Singh. My thoughts are with his family & supporters in this sad hour. Shri N. Dharam Singh had rich experience in Karnataka & national politics. His dedicated service towards society will be remembered,” the Prime Minister said, according to a PIB release.
Dharam Singh passed away at a Bengaluru Hospital on July 27. He was 17th chief minister of Karnataka and ruled the state between 2004 and 2006. A native of village Nelogi in Kalaburgi district in Karnataka, Dharam Singh won seven straight assembly elections from Jewargi constituency.
